Free! was broadcasted last December in Hong Kong under the name Hot-blooded Freestyle, and they had some pretty tongue-in-cheek ads.

- and yes they did spoil the ending in their ads.

It was shown in a channel J2 (which I can’t watch because I don’t have that box to receive digital signals or whatever XD) I was tooooooo surprised seeing that translation of DAT name, it looks okay in English but in Cantonese XDDD plus the name is of 5 Chinese characters again (that tv channel is translating ALL anime names to 5 characters OMG) 
I’ve watched just a few minutes online (but bakashisenpai and her friends watched it I think? XD) and I just can’t stop laughing XDD not that they are not translating / voicing well, it’s just automatic for me to laugh when I hear anime in Cantonese, especially when it’s Free! ahahahaha
and when the ads said “a romance exclusive to men” I just laughed too hard coz I’m sorry this anime is more for fujoshi ladies female XD well but actually the ads were quite good :3

Ooh I didn’t watch all of it, though I did watch at least three episodes’ worth~ I really love this dub even though Nagisa’s voice actor doesn’t have that ‘cutesy’ tone, the way they talk is more than enough to make up for it! The way Rin refers to Makoto and Nagisa is brilliant xD (he uses the same phrase that my mum calls my brother and I, and it translates literally to ‘this/these few things’ or ‘pieces of things’ I guess www
I’m in the process of rewatching it, though I haven’t had time lately orz
I find that the way they do the Haru/Haru-chan and Kou/Gou is pretty interesting too~ Haru is 啊遥, but Haru-chan is 小遥. Then Gou is 江江，but Kou is just 江～
